Round 4: The Village of Shadows

[Blue Fire Cyndaquil]

(I continue to listen, and I follow them if they leave. I did tell my team to follow from a distance. BTW, does my team have any clues yet? If so, can I know them?)

Chris edged a bit closer.

"I found the clue." one of them growled. "And I'm sure I know what it means so just follow me."

"It doesn't matter that you found it. You're wrong about the meaning." one of the others countered.

"Let's just split up." another one of them suggested. "Check out both places and call in if you find anything. Let's go."

They split into two groups and began heading off in seperate directions. One group was heading West and the other North.


GROUP 2 (Capperoff, Takeru, Tod, Kako)
"Ok, we'll go take a look." one of the others said. "Maybe they have some clues we don't." They turned and started walking, heading right towards the spot where Capperoff was standing.

"Hmm.... Strange, they found a clue..." Chris thought to himself as he followed behind the north-bound group, trying to blend in and not appear to be following them by stopping and looking at stores but following them still.

I quickly try to get around them and follow.

Hm, I wonder if they throw coins in fountains here, like back at home? Sira thought to herself. She decided to find out, so she walked up to the fountain and peered into the water.

Chris began casually following after the north-bound group. Unfortunately, they were moving pretty quickly and he soon realized that, if he didn't want to lose them, he'd need to move a lot faster and less carefully.


GROUP 2 (Capperoff, Takeru, Tod, Kako)
Capperoff attempted to quickly get out of the way. He made it but...

"Hold on!" one of the group paused. "I hear something..."


GROUP 1 (Zanther, Sira, Mickey, D.G.)
As it turned out, there were some coins on the bottom of the fountain. Although, after looking around the area, Sira realized that they weren't actual coins but suvineer fountain tossing discs, which were being sold at a nearby stand.

(I sneakily attempt to take some popcorn out of the container in my backpack and throw it to my right.)

[Winters Rage]

"Crud... I'm gonna need to go faster to keep up with them..." Chris thought then he darted into the forest and followed them, skill blending in.

((Aren't I the one with infinite popcorn?))

[Siranae]

Sira looked at the discs in confusion. Why would someone buy a disk just to throw it in a fountain? Why not just throw the money? She wondered. Assuming the vender could answer her question, she walked to the stand.

Um, excuse me? She asked. Why are people throwing those discs in the water? I know they're fountain tossing discs, but, I dunno it doesn't seem to have any reason. She realized after she'd said it that she was questioning the vender's job itself, and became a little embarrassed.Sorry, I'm not from around here. I didn't mean to be rude if I was.

((You don't have the popcorn, BFC. You got the big flashing red light. Also, instead of just posting your actions, try to RP them like everyone else.))

((What forest? You're on a crowded street lined with shops.))


GROUP 1 (Zanther, Sira, Mickey, D.G.)
"You toss them in the fountain for good luck of course." the man replied. "Legend says that the goddess of the village listens to the wishes of those who trow items of tribute into the fountain and grants those she finds most worthy."

((I had the impression that there was a forest around...))
"Great.. I lost them.. Oh well, I guess I should go check out that store umm... Wiggly's Wings or something wasn't it?" Chris said, returning the way he came from looking for that store he saw earlier. "Hmm... those were some strange creatures.." Chris though while he was walking. ((Can you describe them for me?))

(Okay, but I took some popcorn from chris at the beginning. Before going through the portal.

Capperroff put the flashing light in his pocket after turning it off, and then snuck over and grabbed Chris's popcorn, immediately putting it in his pocket.

Ha Ha! It worked! Here you go, Chris. he said as he gave it back after putting a ton into a container in his backpack.

So I do have some.)

Capperroff sneakily tried to pull the container full of popcorn out of his bag and through some in an area not in there line of vision, to make noise and try to distract the enemies, and then put the container, which would then be only partially full of popcorn, back.

Oh, I get it now. That's pretty neat. She said to the man.

Though I still don't understand why they don't just use money... She thought. ...Oh well.

Okay, in that case, I'd like to buy one.

((BFC's group is the one in a forest. Also, I already described them.))

They were tall, none shorter than six feet, and humanoid other than the glowing eyes.

As Chris hadn't followed the other team very far, he had no problem retracing his steps to Wizzly's Portable Wings.


GROUP 2 (Capperoff, Takeru, Tod, Kako)
((Ah, forgot about that.))
Capperoff quietly pulled some popcorn out of his pack and tossed it off to the side without being seen. Unfortunately, being incredibly light and fluffy, the popcorn didn't make any noise when it landed. Meanwhile, one of the group began walk forward with his arms outstretched, as if feeling around for an invisible person.


GROUP 1 (Zanther, Sira, Mickey, D.G.)
"Here you go." the man handed her a disc. "Thank you and may the goddess find fit to grant your wish."

[Phonox]

"Oh that's not good." Tod muttered to himself as he reached into his pockets, looking for something that might come in handy. He pulled out a few colored pencils he picked up from the forest and tried to throw them at the same spot Capperoff threw the popcorn.
