Uh.. >_> <_< nothing to see here. *shuffle*
Ya, I have that same problem wiht Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. I don't want to even think about how much I've spent on them in the past month.
I do think I have an extra one. Though I have a complete Crystal Beast deck.

And Josiah weren't you going to send me a copy of the guardian of the stone for the KoTF prize? Meh, prolly easier to wait till I'm in Canada. Cheaper too.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey.
I've got finals today. *sarcastic whoo*
Actually, they aren't too bad. It means I get to go to skool an hour late (and subsequently sleep an extra hour), which is always good. :P
Well, I just have to turn in my World Civ essay 1st block, then I get to chill 2nd block 'cos I don't have a final then. Since I don't have a car to leave campus with, I'll just stay and study... and play card games with me freshie friends. Then lunch, and again since I has no car, I must eat at ze skool (finals is the only time we have open campus lunch). Then I end the day with a Physical Science final, the only one I'm slightly worried about. But, yesterday did good to cheer me up. Got back an incredible TEST grade.
86/82! A FRIKKIN' PERFECT SCORE (there were 4 pts extra credit)! That made me soooooo incredibly happy. On my way out of class, my teacher just pulled me over for a sec to congradulate me. I was the only one (both of her classes included) to get a perfect score. Yay.
I've aced a quiz or two, but never one of her tests. They're pretty hard, generally, but I was really confident about this one. :D

I was into Yu-Gi-Oh for about a year when it hit my elementary school, but I didn't want to keep going with it since I was already spending all my money on Magic: The Gathering cards - I even have a full copy of the BFM, it's absolutely illegal in any sort of actual game but it's hilarious to own!

Ahem, well I've got good news and bad news.
The good news: Tomorrow's my final in summer school!
the Bad news: My dad's car died, making me unable to attend day three of the girl scout camp.
Now my dad had his car long enough to get 200,000 miles on it. hopefully the car can be fixed.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Astral, I just sent you a PM about that. Saber, congrats!
I started collecting Yu-Gi-Oh cards as soon as they came out in the US and kept up with it until shortly before I graduated from college. I ended up with a class at the same time as the league I usually went to and I was short on spending money so I fell behind on collecting. Then I went to Japan and I wasn't getting any English Yu-Gi-Oh cards while I was over there so I get even further behind... I have a pretty impressive collection (completed or nearly completed most of the earlier sets) but virtually nothing (a few promos aside) from the last couple of years. I could have gotten back into it after Japan but haven't for the following reasons: the cards are a huge money sink, I'm so far behind I feel like it would take a huge amount of time and money to get caught up again, I hate having to rebuild all my decks every time they change the ban list (actually, I hate the list in general, too many cards on it that shouldn't be).
As for playing, I built some pretty good decks and even won a couple of unofficial tournaments and placed highly in a couple more. My problem is that my luck of the drawn tends to range from so-so to absolutely horrible. I've had way too many games where in terms of deck and strategy I should have won...but just kept drawing horrible combinations of cards (no monsters, nothing but monsters, etc). So I'm either pretty good (when my luck is so-so or the rare times when it's good) or really bad (far more often than I like).

Woah Saber. That's crazy stuff. My finals this year happened today, and it was our last school day. I'm picking up my report card on Monday, so I know nothing about my test scores.Saber Knight wrote:86/82! A FRIKKIN' PERFECT SCORE (there were 4 pts extra credit)! Last days of school are sad. I'm gonna miss some people over the summer.

Hey.
Well, finals went pretty good today. Part 3 (part 1 was Monday (aced it :D) with our skit, Part 2 was yesterday with the essay, Part 3 with a bunch of vocab stuff) of our Spanish final is tomorrow. Fun stuff. Then I am DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNEEEEEE! DONE!
OMG THAT'S AWESOME! I have a few of those illegal cards. Me and my friend played a game against each other where we each had like 5 of them in our deck and they were legal. :P. One of them was that I had to scream at the top of my lungs every turn to prevent one of my creatures from dying (one of his creatures had attacked a monster of mine and put a "burn counter" on it. If I didn't scream every turn, it died). Some of those illegal (well, they're legal as in they're professionally made, but illegal to have in any deck) cards have HILARIOUS effects. They make me lul. Those games were always fun, though insanely cheap. I haven't gotten any new Magic: The Gathering cards in like a year. Haven't played in like a year, either. That's kinda depressing.NabMaster wrote:I was into Yu-Gi-Oh for about a year when it hit my elementary school, but I didn't want to keep going with it since I was already spending all my money on Magic: The Gathering cards - I even have a full copy of the BFM, it's absolutely illegal in any sort of actual game but it's hilarious to own!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi.
I agree on afew cards why they are even on the list but some are there cause they can give either person a huge advantage over the other with ver few cards and effort. Rikeki, Harpy's Feather Duster, Pot of Greed, Painful Choice, Graceful Charity are some that do that.
If you want you can PM me on what cards you have questions about and I might beable to say why :)

Heso! God, guys, I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately... KHDS is addicting, for one, and so is... heh. She even commented that /jp/ wouldn't believe us... a pair of otakus, spooning it up, and watching "I Survived a Japanese Gameshow" together. We are so freaking epic.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Heso!
I got into yugioh about 5 years ago, but my collections not that big because I've never had all that much money to spend on cards. That's why I never got into Magic when I wanted too, because I couldn't afford both.
Fience however... He has many many many cards, and has been collecting/playing for 10 years...
I can understand some cards being on the list, but I still don't see why graceful charity is since you have to discard too. Although aparently they banded it because of decks that benifit from having cards in the graveyard, although they could have limited it to 1 instead of banning it... maybe...

Heh yeah, I really wish I had more of the Unglued series - I don't have any from Unhinged which is a real shame, there's a bunch of really good joke cards in that set apparently. I haven't played Magic for years now, but I found out last year that sometimes people play it in my university's game club. I'm gonna bring them with me next year, hopefully I'll get a chance to play! Hey, congrats on Opal's invite Silver! Heh as soon as I read that I looked at her page, figures that'd be your picture

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I forget if mine are Unhinged or Unglued. Been too long. *checks a website to see if she recognizes any of the cards* ...Unhinged it is. Lesse... I distinctly recall Deal Damage, Goblin S.W.A.T. Team (oh EVER do I remember that one! It made my hand huuuurt.... suffice to say my friend is annoying, and made that way worse than it needed to be), Kill! Destroy!, Ladies' Knight, Our Market Research....etc., the ever obnoxious Red-hot Hottie, and Vile Bile. That card got obnoxious after a while. We started using our other cards to flick that one at one another so we'd be damaged. -_-NabMaster wrote:Heh yeah, I really wish I had more of the Unglued series - I don't have any from Unhinged which is a real shame, there's a bunch of really good joke cards in that set apparently.
