When I bought my new laptop I had the same problem that Vista was so annoying to use.. ut you do get used to it.

I still don't like how the program files and stuff are sorted out but if you're not the kind of person to mess with that stuff then it doesn't take as long to get used to.

When I first got it I hated it. Don't mind it so much now after about... well 5 months now.

Also, I found out what was wrong with my laptop... I'm almost 100% sure it was my own fault now although I only suspected before. Won't be telling the store that though :P

The issue with it was a mistake I won't make again. I'll just let them think it was a mystery fault like computers tend to have.

But yeah... I think downloading and installing Sims 2 is what messid it up >.<

When I got my new laptop, it wasn't a matter of making the switch from XP to Vista, it was switching from Windows to Mac. @.@
That took a while, I can tell you.
I'm pretty used to it all, now, though. The difference between XP and Vista isn't that great for me anymore.

Anyway, I'm back from New Orleans. Was it nice to see my Uncle again? Yes. Did I enjoy myself? Yes. Did I go with my family on any wild adventures and explore the city?

Also for those of you who actually thought it wise to install Vista, I laugh at you for making such a grievous error.

I didn't install it, nor did I ever think it was a wise move. There were no laptops in my price range that had XP on it. So don't get all smug and superior Mister. You don't know everything.

Hi! I think most of the people who hate Vista just want to hate Vista, or are trying to run it on an underpowered computer. Seriously, it's got some nice improvements over XP.

I'm in a Pokémon tournament being done on 1Up. My first match is tomorrow, so wish me luck. I went all over town today trying to find a DS wi-fi thing so I wouldn't have to redo my parents' network just for the match (stupid DS and its lack of WPA support), but no one had any so I'll just have to temporarilly change the network configuration.

I don't pretend to know everything. I just know a better OS when I see it. Granted Vista has some nice features that I wish I still had on XP, however, said features aren't missed much when I'm reminded by my brother and William Zed how much they hate Vista for freezing, and being unable to have anything installed on it.

Also can't you just get an XP installation pack separate from a laptop?

Hi! Actually, Vista has been extremely stable for me (even more so than XP) and has run pretty much everything I've thrown at it (and I have some pretty old and obscure programs).

Vista bugs me in many ways. I've been trying not to just come biased, but it's annoying. Meh. It isn't worth buying XP for the compy, though. There are a few things that I do like, so I'll just live. Living tends to be a good thing, but that might be just me.

Hopefully I get to play in the game tomorrow. Most likely I will, but something could suddenly go wrong, which would make me sad.

Hero's sick again, he got an ear infection and it messed up his balance. Dad manged to clean them so he's resting until his balance is normal again.

Urg, my crapto- err, laptop finally crapped out. I got it in September and I've just had issue after issue (always crashing in Spore, being really slow in Hellgate: London, and the video card is too weak to have any game higher than the lowest settings). On Saturday, I was playing WAR when all of a sudden the colours went all funky and the computer froze up. Next thing I know, when I turn on the laptop the only things that actually turn on are the light under the power button and the fan. Big v.v time. A few diagnostic tests and a call to Dell later, and my laptop's being shipped off to Ontario for a faulty LCD until next week. So I'll be on the PS3 for pretty much all week, if anyone wants to play Resistance or Soul Calibur 4 (my PS3 account is Retsam1), I'll be free!

Edit: Do you folks know anything about Alienware computers? My friend wants a laptop with XP, so I was thinking of selling her my laptop when it gets all fixed up.

I finally finished taking my AP Exam! After four hours in a dark and damp room, no food or water, and the ticking of the slow clock taunting you, I'm finally done! Now, I have one month for only one lesson of Calculus and one test. Woo!

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, freshmen are not expected to take AP classes. That's why my other classes are still on regular schedule, and I had to miss all of them, and I will have to make up a test, a lab, a quiz, and other things after school. Oh yeah, did I mention the test I missed is Mrs. Rorie's World History test? The hardest class of freshman year, and possibly harder than Calculus BC? Wish me luck.
