I'm not certain if this controls e-mails sent to you or not, but go to your control panel, to your board preferences, to posting defaults: There's a option titled, "Notify me upon replies by default". That's always been marked "no" for me and I've never received e-mails when somebody replied to a topic.
Secondly, do you have, "Notify me when a reply is posted" check-marked underneath the the submit button when making a post?

I doubt there's many americans who played a Fire Emblem game with Marth.
Also: Touhou yields 17800 results on youtube, Fire Emblem yields 20400, so Touhou isn't THAT unknown from the western audience.

Do you even know what Marth did in his Fire Emblem games? I'm pretty sure that the only thing people know about him is that he's in Super Smash Bros. and is the "Best" fighter in the game. What do you know about him from Fire Emblem?
