"It's still your decision. But it's getting late, so I have to go to bed. Meeting in the morning. Or just see what happens when we both feel like it." Alex sit next to Nikka on the bed, watching her movements as he felt his emotions overflow.

Nikka sighed and leaned against Alex. She disliked making decisions, and she wanted to bite her tounge, but she had to answer. She only murmered "Don't go.."

Glancing at the door, Alex walked over to it and closed it. Locking it in the process, and sit back down by Nikka. Kissing her, he guided her back onto the bed and felt at peace.

Nikka kissed back, and let herself be guided. She loved him, and nothing would change that. Not even death.

Waking up, Alex saw the clock on the table. He sit up and moved in the bed, not waking Nikka up. Unlocking the door, he left the room, and went to the library. He noticed that someone was looking at him as he walked in, but paid nothing to look up. High Lord Valath was sitting by the fire, his eyes wondering around. Alex knew that he was trying to find an answer to a question that will never go away. Stepping up, Alex put a hand on the chair.

"Alex, I'm going to come back. Just one thing, protect those that you love, and are close to you."

"I know, my lord. How about the fight? And if you haven't noticed, something is wrong with me anyway." Valath looked at Alex then moved his eyes towards Alex. "Your heart is weak, but you push it hard. Someday, you will find yourself breaking it, and your life will be crashing down. There is no way to stop it, but to rest. Yet for you, you can't rest. Your willing to fight. But if you keep doing this and let others fight, take care of yourself, then you will live past 3 months. That is all I'm giving you. Sorry my friend." Alex knew that was the worst news for his life, but not caring for himself anymore. "I will live a life without knowing any pain nor the pain of others. Yet too bad that life stopped when I was young. Now, I only care for Nikka the most. This clan, will be here for me always, just that I trust in you and others actions as they go from one time to the next. We will not understand others unless there is no point in it. I feel that my heart will give out as this time goes on, but why do people think of the bad things in life. Outside people have the image inside their minds that vampires can't die. We live forever in the world of darkness, and no pain. They don't see that we can die. We are still human, but can live forever if we don't have a problem. Sometime, we all will die. But for others, we take that live to being there for something. I'll see you later, High Lord Valath, even if its on my deathbed."

Walking back to Nikka's room, Alex remembered what he said. Is his life worthless, or does it have to die. At least I get to be with my family, my sister. Yet I don't want to lose Nikka. Turning to the bedroom, he opened the door to see Nikka still there.

Nikka was still too tired to wake up, even to the sound of a door closing. She twitched at the sound, but she didn't wake completely. She was caught in a deep sleep, and would probably stay like that for a while.

Alex drew in a breath and sit on the bed, thinking of what to do next. But nothing came.

Nikka woke a few moments after Alex returned, and sat up slowly. She let out a small yawn, and glanced over at him sitting on the edge of the bed. He seemed to be deep in thought, so she didn't disturb him, and made as little noise as possible.

Alex didn't turn around when he knew Nikka was up. "Good morning. Did you sleep fine?" Alex smiled as he remembered what happened.

Nikka smirked. "As well as I could," she replied, yawning slightly. "How did the meeting go..?" she asked.

"There was no meeting. I just needed freash air." Alex said as he lied through his teeth. Why didn't he just say if he coutinued what he was doing, he would die. But no one else needed to know, Lord Valath knew everything to the last details of the person.

Nikka tilted her head slightly, and shrugged. A few silent moments passed, before an ear-splitting shriek filled her ears. Within an instant, she had jumped to her feet. "What was that..?" Nikka murmured fiercely, confused and afraid. What was going on..?

Alex moved a hand to his ears, and after the sound died away, he had an expression on his face. This couldn't be good. "I think they are after us now. Time for a fight, and one I will win." Unless my heart gives out in the end.

"Don't push yourself.." Nikka said quietly, before sprinting out of the room a moment later. She followed the scent of blood, and growled. An overpowering smell of dog filled her nostrils as well, and made her run faster.

Alex went up to his room, and picked up two swords. Now its time to have fun. He ran down the stairs and out the front door to see other vampires fighting. Smelling the air, he ran towards the invaders. The blood went in every direction, as Alex took a werewolf out from behind and cut the heart right out. "Leave or die!"
