I'm not a guy typically bothered by insignificant stuff like this, and it's not that big of a deal but why is the language filter necessary?
Now, I can understand telling to keep to a limit, and I'll admit, I pretty much cuss every other word.
But the forum rules say you gotta be 13 to join, correct?
So why the filter? Find me a 13-year-old+ person who is actually offended if I say the F word.
No big deal, but take it into consideration.
I hate to be complaining but...

It’s a matter of principle. Most of the forum members may not be offended by the word, but if one of our younger readers were reading the forums, a parent wouldn’t be too happy with curse words on a ‘children’s’ website. Also, the word filter is helps reduce offensive spam bot posts. Besides saying ‘******’ like this still gets your point across.
"BOW BEFORE THE SHAUNINESS THAT IS SHAUNI! "--Shadowman
"Shauni fell down a drainage ditch and died. That was the end of her pokemon journey. "--Shauni
Go to ROM the Comic

There's a few reasons. First off, there's what Shauni already said. Pebble Version is a PG comic and has a lot of younger readers, some of whom join the forums and they (or more likely their parents) can have problems with bad language so I try to keep the forums PGish as well. Secondly, while some swearing is generally not offensive to most people, there's some words that are almost always offensive to many people. Finally, swearing is often unneccessary and, from my experience, tends to lead to flaming in most web forums.
