Here's a comic I started reading recently.

Girl Genius is a sometimes funny, sometimes serious comic with an alternate Earth steampunk setting.
Plot: In a steampunk version of 19th centure Europe, certain people are born with an innate mechanical genius. They are known are sparks. Some become master craftsmen, others heroes, and still other mad scientists. Agatha is a young mechanic whose designs never quite seem to work. However, when a visit by Baron Wulfenbach turns her life upside down, she discovers that she's not only a spark but the heir to the legendary Hetrodyne family which means pretty much everyone is either out to kill, control, or suck up to her. So begins a series of crazy midsadventures as she tries to claim her birthright, stop the forces of the mysterious Other, and just plain survive.
Art: The comic is in full color and features very good art all the way through.
Things to Know: The first arc starts out a little slow, but things get better and better as the story and characters have time to develop.
Favorite Strips: Gotta love Krosp, the ruler of all cats.

Yup, been reading this comic for well over a year by now! Great comic, one of my favorites, definitely. And it always updates, which is kind of awesome. When I origianlly read it, the whole first chapter was in black and white (like, strict black and white. Not grayscale) because they didn't have a colorist yet... but then they ret-conned color in a brilliant fashion later on to show how the color came as her Sparkyness started to show... and it still kind of floors me what a brilliant idea that was.

Lots of funnies in there among a lot of other random stuff... personal favorites out there definitely have to be the calming pie, and that brick in the last panel, and most stuff the Jagers do... there are others, but they kind of give away plot stuff, so I think that's suitable for now :D

Ya know, this comic reminds me of Myth Adventures, which had it's own comic series drawn by Phil Foglio. It's online somewhere, but I forget where. Also, I love the Jagers...
AWESOME COMIC!!!!

This seems like a good webcomic from what I've read. I'll probably continue reading this when I got the chance, I just kind of got swamped with work all of a sudden... I'd say more, but I need to get back to work...
