Two Kinds

I had really hoped to not have to recommend this one, but I'm running out of web comics now... so, it's Two Kinds.

As a warning, it's... very PG-13. And furry. Very naked tiger girl. A lot. But... she's got fur so it's ok, right? There's heavy dosages of fanservice, but nothing overtly... explicit. So yeah.

First off, the art is amazing. The early pages, obviously, are pretty average, but the current art is pretty darn impressive.

And the characters are great. Keith and Natani especially. Of course, you have to read pretty far in to know why... yeah, they're pretty much the only reason I've kept reading this comic for so long. I found it a long, long time ago, kept following it for Keith, but somewhat halfheartedly. And then the Natani plot twist happened...

Yeah, the thing here is? The main plot... sucks. It's a generic "forbidden love" story kinda thing. I mean, unless you count the, "RAR IMMA CRAZY TEMPLAR" thing as the main plot, in which case it's not so bad, but for a lot of it that's treated as a sub-plot... in which case I can say confidently, every single sub-plot is better than the main plot on every level. Which sucks. But the sub plots were good enough to keep me reading the whole time, at least.

So yeah. I have... mixed feelings for Two Kinds, but on the whole it's not bad. Keith and Natani. That's all it needs.

Spoilers, don't read this unless you've at least gotten to Chapter 9:
I know this seems out of character, but my favorite page ever was... this one. Mostly because I just thought it was a cool scene that exposed the epic relationship Keith and Natani have. Because there's one thing that all, and I mean all Reverse Trap stories have in common that really pisses me off. The Reverse Traps gets a crush... and instantly goes all girly-mushy-lovey-deredere, completely ruins the character, and God, that... doesn't happen! When a tomboy/Reverse Trap falls in love, they don't just instantly turn into a girl! That's totally wrong! Which is why I appreciate these two so much, because Natani still has a spine. And this page proved it. Also, because... God, I know that situation. I have been there in a way none of you could ever understand... I wish I had just said it. All the trouble we could have avoided...

I've been reading this one for a bit. So, without summarizing your post, I'll just say I'd have to agree. I could pull up favorites, but I'm in Physics right now...

Okay, I wrote a post, then it flipped out at me and deleted it and now I'm sad, so I'm just gonna summarize.

Good comic, great art, Keith and Natani are my favorite characters. And the dragon who's name I can't remember 'cos it's been too long and I'm too lazy.

Yeah Arts great, and I just find most of it comical... I'm not very good with romance stories... thats why i gave up trying to write romances... I have a habit of put my characters into comical situations where they just ended up embarressing themselves...

The art is pretty good most of the time and I'll agree that the characters are fairly good too. Though, as Silver already pointed out, the main plot isn't all that exciting to begin with and is hampered by somewhat poor pacing early on. I'm about half way through the archives at this point. I'll probably finish the rest and keep reading, though I hope those sub-plots Silver mentioned are as good as he says.

It's sorta funny. Silver is right, though. The sub-plots are better.
