Strays

M'kay, so, the comic I've picked for this week (or two weeks, as the case may be) is
Strays. The main character is Meela, a young lupian (has wolf like characteristics) girl orphaned at a young age who is, nevertheless, incredibly spunky and has a rather large mouth. Early on in the story, she meets Feral, a mute lupian (who really did have some
trouble conveying his name. And ) They go travel... 'n' stuff... I suck at this, just go read the comic!
Good art throughout the comic. Color. Yay. :D
And, having a mute Feral tends to make for interesting conversations... and
thought bubbles. Just... go read it!

This is pretty good. I do like the art, and Fearl is very humorous in my eyes, at least. I expect he'll have some kind of a dark secret (I am basing this solely on the fact that his eyes are different colours and his muteness, not based on any actual personality traits).

Well, it was a nice read. I think I'll continue to read it. The art is good, and the plot is being set up well. Some of the humor is obvious, but it was okay.
Scars usually come with stories, especially in fiction; since those are pretty good scars (both eye and neck), I'll agree with you, Stevenson.

Just finished reading this. It's pretty good, the art's great, the story is good, and the fox seems like a future recurring character.

Well, it would be quite odd if Feral was born with the scars on his eye and neck. So far, it's pretty good. I'll probably continue reading it.

I love this comic's art. I like the way she conveys the emotions of the characters and uses cartoony, simplistic versions of them occasionally to do so. It gives it a very comical feel.
I feel bad for poor Feral. Meela's making it pretty hard for him to like her. She keeps messing everything up! And the fact that she believes she's his mentor XD, priceless.
Yeah, story's interesting. I want to see what happened that made Feral mute.

I haven't been able to read any yet thanks to the fact that hotels in New Zealand not only seem to lack free internet access, but don't have unlimited plans either, they charge by the hour.

I'll read and comment on this when I can, but it may not be till I'm back in the US.

Now that I have internet access, I found some time to read it. I'm willing to bet that the author has watched Wolf's Rain... But anyway, I like what's there so far. Not that there's very much, so I can't say much about the plot since it hasn't gotten much of anywhere yet. The characters are amusing though and the art is good. I think I'll be following it for a while.

Read what's there, I enjoyed it. Mostly because of ambiguous-gender wolf-girl. I like the characters where I don't know the gender for a while, especially when I'd guess they're
a little boy and they turn out to be
a girl. Because I'm weird that way.
Seems kind of rushed, and unbelievable that an
assassin can't ditch one obnoxious little kid, but otherwise not bad... art is impressive, characters seem likable, story has potential. It just bothers me how quickly Meela believed the old man, how quickly he was beaten, and how quickly they completely forgot about him to move on to the next plot point. It seemed like it would be important later on, but it ended too quickly to stay in one's memory...

True, that bit did end rather quickly, especially for one of those "obviously important later on" bits, though I'm seen some stories do that type of thing successfully so I'm taking a wait and see approach. As for Meela believing the old guy so quickly, I figured that kind of fit her personality. I mean, she seemed to convince herself that she's a legendary bountry hunter quickly enough...
