AppleGeeks

I'm sorry this is late, rough year so far.
Okay, so for this week, I give you AppleGeeks.

It's a comic that centers around Hawk who's completely obsessed with apple stuff, obviously that's where the name comes from. Hawk is in college with his friend Jayce who is a writer. It's one of the webcomics where the characters are all based on the writer's friends in real life.
I like this comic 'cause I'm a geek, but not for apples. The art is okay, but the style changes every so often. And it's kinda a two for one with the AppleGeeks Lite (shown on the main page, click on it to access it's archives).
I didn't have time to go back through and find my favorite strips though.

I really should make a rule about late postings... But, this time it actually worked out fairly well for me since I probably wouldn't have had time to read the comic over the past week. Anyway, cause of holidays and all that, we'll leave this comic up until Wednesday next week and the schedule will return to normal then.

This is one of my favourite webcomics. The artwork is amazing (the shiniest I've ever seen) and some of the stuff that's in this is really funny. My favourite comic strips are definitely this page and this page.

The art is definately nice although I've got a mixed opinion about the way it occasionally switches styles during different story arcs (like the comic book style used during the fight with Eve). On the one hand, switching styles to match the current mood of the comic is kinda neat, on the other, doing such a drastic switch is a bit jarring. Plus the occasional black and white comic is kinda odd.
Art aside, I wasn't expecting much when I first started the comic. I'm not an Apple fan myself plus it started out looking like just another 'joke of the day' techno geek friends comic (which I usually either don't find funny or get bored of before finishing the archives). Fortunately, Apple Geeks surprised me by adding a bit of depeth and development to its characters and eventually getting a real plot going. Plus, it was actually funny enough to keep me reading until those things happened (liked the Megatokyo cameos too). Not to mention that the Apple stuff is nowhere near the entire focus of the comic. So yeah, this comic surprised me, I like it. My only real complaint is the way a couple of characters got introduced early on, were around for a little while, and then disapeared completely without explantion and only one showed up again later.
For favorite strips, this one and this one are just plain funny. This one is too but you probably won't get it unless you read the stuff leading up to it. Speaking of that last one, I like how the little girl he stole the bike from shows up later to get her revenge.

I've heard about this webcomic before, never really had time to check it out, though.

The artwork is very nice and changing its style doesn't really bother me very much. I also like it how it makes fun out of everything, and the last panel contains stuff you'd never see coming. Also, making a webcomic out of standard "panel-to-panel" formation is very neat and is one of the things that makes this comic so original.

Of course, the jokes aren't really too hard to understand, but the fact that you need to read the previous episodes to get the jokes is kinda annoying, especially to newer readers (like myself). I won't list my favourite ones, since the comic is really good.
