Tournament time!
Rules
1. All standard Insult Sword Fighting rules apply (see the first post of the Rules and OOC thread).
2. Unlike in recent normal matches, the three day rule for posting in your thread will be strictly enforced. The only exception is if you have a very good reason that you can't post (out of town, broken computer, etc). If you do have a good reason, post it in this thread along with when you expect to be available again. Note that, if someone is out for a long time they may be disqualified anyway, regardless of their excuse.
3. All battles will be normal insult sword battles. There will be no high seas battles (though there may be a seperate high seas tournament at a later date).
4. This is a single elimination tournament.
5. As usual, judges cannot judge their own matches (unless they really want to rule in favor of their opponent).
Prizes
They're a secret. In fact, they're so secret that I haven't figured out what they are yet.
Round 1 Brackets
((To make things simple, I'm not going to draw out a bracket, just post the matches. Matchups are determined at random.))
Match 1: Saber vs. Eclectric
Match 2: Silver vs. Kaida
Match 3: Josiah vs. Phonox
Match 4: Stevenson vs. Gar
Match 5: Siranae vs. Quick!

Round 2 Brackets
Match 1: Saber vs. Sira
Match 2: Silver vs. Stevenson
Match 3: Josiah vs. Nobody (Josiah wins!)
Yeah, I lucked out on the dice rolls there.

NO! Not my cousin! My own flesh and blood! I can't fight against Stevenson... anyone but him! Not that my apprentice is much better... or my fellow New Jersian... screw it, you're on Stevenson.
Also, I just feel I have to point this out... Stevenson and I at some point noticed a trend. No, not a trend, more like a scientific law. This is our theory:
Josiah wins.
I'm not sure if the two terms in our equation are exactly equal at all times, but the product is always the same. There was a point, during this tournament, that I really thought our law would be disproved... Phonox was in the lead there, he would have made it to five first... but no, he definitely failed to post for three days.
It's not like he ever cheats, god-modes, anything. Josiah just... wins. At everything. Always. No exceptions. Final Destination.
The recent events in this tournament - Phonox's sudden defeat, the favorable dice rolls - have confirmed my theory. Because it now has enough evidence to be taken as scientific law, I will propose a new theory as a result of this study's outcome:
Josiah is Chuck Norris.

Heh, that's a nice theory. And I certainly wish I always won (though I'm fine not being Chuck Norris), but I distinctly remember not winning both the last Pokémon tournament (though I'm pretty sure I could win the battle I lost that time in a rematch) and the Smash Brothers tournament (which I actually lost due to a coinflip thanks to lag issues that prevented the final match from being held), not to mention IPA Apprentice. And don't get me started on Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments (I tend to have rather abysmal luck of the draw). I did win PV Survivor though, so I guess that counts for something. And this tournament has been going pretty well for me... Who knows, maybe my luck is turning around.
You're right about the lack of cheating and god-moding though. The fact that I lost the Smash Brother tournament due to a coin flip, which I made, while no one else was around, certainly proves that.
You know, I suppose I could actually play out my fight, just to be fair...
Me: "I've seen dead twigs fight better than you!"
*Nobody says nothing.*
Point to Josiah!
Me: "Do you even have a sword?"
*Nobody says nothing.*
Random passerby: "Dude, there's no one there. Why are you waving your sword around?"
Point to the random passerby!
Etc, etc, etc...

I'm going to break that theory after this tournament. I'm challenging him for the crown!
Unless, soneone else beats him first. Then, I'll challenge that person.

Next round!
Saber, Stevenson, and I advance!
Since I got to sit out the last round, I flipped a coin to see who (between Saber and Stevenson) gets a free pass to the finals.
Round 3 Brackets
Match 1: Josiah vs. Stevenson
Match 2: Saber vs. Nobody (Saber wins!)

Ooh... wow, I guess I make it to the finals.... eh, not too fond of winning via coin flip, but I must say it's nice to have a break, though.

Ah, oh well, didn't think I'd win that one, even if I had won the original roll. Good fight, Josiah!

You too!
Hmm... I suppose I need to make a prize for myself now. That feels kinda odd...

If you'd read all the posts in this thread, you'd have noticed that the tournament ended a while ago. I just forgot to lock the thread, which I'll do now.
