This thread is for people challenging The Swordmaster of Melee Island.

The rules are as follows.
1. You cannot challenge the Swordmaster unless you've won at least one regular Insult Sword Fight (wins by default due to a non-posting opponent don't count, unless you've won at least three of them).
2. Only one person can fight the Swordmaster at a time. If you'd like to battle post in this thread when no one else is currently battling.
3. You cannot fight the swordmaster while you're currently fighting a regular battle.
4. Rules are the same as for a regular Insult Sword Fights EXCEPT for the following. Since the Swordmaster is so much better than you, you'll never be able to get an insult off. The only way you can try to score points is by countering the Swordmaster's insults with a retort. Because of this, there's no need to roll dice. Just post that you're challenging the Swordmaster and the Swordmaster will insult you.
5. The Swordmaster can be played by any official judge and it does not need to remain consistant for an entire battle (when it's time for the Swordmaster to do an insult any judge can post it regardless of who did the last one). Of course, if a judge is challenging the swordmaster that judge can't post for the swordmaster.
6. You can challenge the swordmaster as many times as you want but you don't get anything for winning multiple times.

There's another reason to fight the swordmaster as well, one related to this game. But you're not gonna find out what it is until a few people have beaten the swordmaster.

Two questions:

1: is there a limited number of times one can challenge the swordsmaster?

2: Can judges challenge the swordsmaster?

3: Can you challenge the Swordmaster if you won a fight because your opponent didn't reply in time?

Granted, it doesn't apply to me, but it does need clarification.

That's true, I forgot about that-I don't think that that should count, personally.

You can challenge the swordmaster as many times as you want until you've won. After that, I suppose you can challenge the swordmaster again if you want to (and there isn'y anyone else who wants to challenge the swordmaster) but you don't get anything for winning. As for what you do get for winning... That will be revealed later after a few people have won.

2: Can judges challenge the swordsmaster?

Yes. In fact, considering what the eventual prize for beating the swordmaster is, they'll probably want to. Naturally, the judge challenging the swordmaster can't play as the swordmaster during that fight or judge themselves.

3: Can you challenge the Swordmaster if you won a fight because your opponent didn't reply in time?

Let's say no UNLESS you've won at least three fights that way. Just in case your opponents keep disapearing for some reason.
