First of all, in order to join IPA, you've got to post a request to join here. I have the right to turn you down based on age, race, gende-no, wait, not those. More like how long you've been on the forums, n00bishness, grammar, and general trustworthiness. Here's how it works: I don't want to give someone an IPA only to have them vanish from the forums completely in a week. It's happened before. And it's not cool. I want to give everyone that joins their own unique starter IPA, see? And the well is going to run dry if I'm giving every n00b and his brother a starter but they never use them. So... if you're in it, you're in it for the long haul.
If I decide you're fit to join my army, you'll get an egg, which will hatch two days after you get it. Into something that may potentially scar you for life. If you're like The N00b and get something like a Beldum/Bellsprout, don't sue me. Or... come to my house and kill me. It's happened before and I'm not eager to repeat the experience.
You'll also get 1,000 IC - that's the local currency - and an Infinity Potion, which is like a Pokemon Center that doesn't have a clone with a bunch of supposedly rare Chanseys running around inside it. From there, I'm hoping you can figure the thing out on your own... most everything else is covered in The Rules.

Alright, welcome to IP Advance: The Game!
It's very basic, there will be 5 eggs, and the first 5 or so people to claim one, gets it. You can put it on your siggy, 'play' with it here, put it in a blanket, etc. Your egg has no name, nor no gender. It's just an egg.
Eventually, the egg will evolve into an IPA. I will say what type it is and its first two attacks, but you have to come up with a name. You can battle each other, play with your IPA here, etc. The colour of the egg may or may not have to do with anything of the type of the pokemon.
For more 'exp', I will also be posting wild IPAs. First to post gets to battle them. Don't worry, there might be 5, or even 1!
Now, after so many battles, your IPA will level up. I will be posting when your IPA learns a new move, or even evolves!
You cannont capture wild IPAs yet, but eventually, you can. Same with gym battles.
