ROM 3: Shadows of Souls

((But I'm the main character, I'm not supposed to lose :( On a more serious note though, wouldn't it be kinda stupid for Zanther to challenge me first, knowing that I'm the best monster battler in the group? I'll lose if I have to but I have a couple problems. 1: If I lose to Zanther how the heck am I supposed to defeat Bowen (considering that he's the legendary Supreme Trainer)? 2: My strongest monster is probably Virgo, who's already out of her card, and I wouldn't want to lose her, even for a short amount of time. I'd probably go nuts and blow the place up or something. If you're still set on having me lose to Zanther can he at least win by cheating or something? I don't think I'd have the confidence to challenge Bowen if I couldn't even beat a shadow in a fair fight.))

((Ok... but uh, I can't have Silver lose either. Of course, good luck beating him anyway. His monsters are his only form of defense, so he's got to have strong ones... like, REALLY strong ones if he's gonna be any use in battle. At all. Everyone else has other powers, but all Silver's got is his monsters, so he's trained them a lot...))

((Hmm... Monster skills...

Josiah has special powers but, aside from his merged forms (which were part of the original ROM game) he rarely uses them. Even his merged forms aren't used much outside of really major battles as he prefers to focus on his monsters. He's the strongest on the team.

Silver only uses monsters and is very good with them. Probably second best on the team after Josiah, although Shauni might have something to say about that...

David only uses monsters although he doesn't have many, he's good but not great. He did have some psychic powers at the end of ROM 2 but we've kinda forgotten about those.

Jeff was really good with monsters but he lost them all in ROM 2 and hasn't gotten any new ones yet.

Shauni has some powerful monsters but ignored them for a while in favor of her magic. Now she fights with a more even mix of the two, I'd say she's better than David but not quite as good as Silver.

Neo's power is kinda unknown. He doesn't have any special powers in his normal form. Although, the way things have played out, we haven't really gotten much of a chance to see him in a normal monster battle so it's hard to say for sure. I'd probably rate him around the same as David but he could be stronger than I think.

Opal is the newest memeber of the team and the weakest due to her lack of experience and the fact that her monsters aren't all fully evolved. Even so, she's learning fast and in time could become a force to be reconned with.

Ok, that was kinda pointless. Still, I can't lose a fair fight for the reasons already stated. Silver, well, I think he could stand to lose one battle, especially against that weird code monster of Zanther's, but that's Silver's decision not mine. Shauni isn't around... I guess no one really cares if David loses a fight (I have plans for him in ROM 4 but this isn't ROM 4...).))

Excuss me, but Queen Opal would like to step in here -sorry for the lack of post for a few pages-

but i don't mind if Opal loses, I guess -Lopa- for one thing cause Opal is the one who has been here the shortess so her monsters won't be as powerful as anyone elses here. Plus, I am one for who is not caring for a lose in a role play. Growing up in neoboards, I was always nice and let people beatme in a battle

Enough of that, but I voluteer myself to lose first

"First up is David."

"Coward! Fight me first!" *Josiah glared at Zanther.*

"Be patient, your time will come."

"Or not." *David stepped forward.* "I plan to stop you right now. Go Supreme Golem! Grand Quake!"

"Rayquezez," *Zanther summoned his monster almost lasily,* "Barrier." *The strange green monster surrounded itself in a shield, completely evading the attack.* "Code monsters may not have much strength or defense, but they make up for it in other ways." *Zanther grinned.* "Now Data Distortion!" *A wave of green smashed into Supreme Golem, knocking it to the ground.*

"Supreme Golem!!!" *David gasped as he watched his monster writhe on the floor, unable to get up.* "What did you do?!?"

"Just played with his coding a little." *Zanther laughed as Supreme Golem suddenly returned to card form and floated into his waiting hand.* "Don't worry, it's nothing permanent. Just enough to win the match."

"Supreme Golem... I'm sorry..." *David slowly returned to the group.*

"You cheater!" *Silver yelled.* "How about fighting fair?"

"And what do you call fair? Heh, it's no matter. My next opponent will be Opal."

((And that's one. Now if either Neo or Opal can write the next battle...))

Opal jumped "M-m-m-me?" She took a step forward "Ok, I'll try..I mean, well, yeah..." She reached into her pocket and looked at her cards, wondering who to use "I guess I'll go with my first one. Go, Ram!" Her goat like-ish creature came out.

"Hmph, this will be quit easy." Zanther gloated

"Hey, I wouldn't be talking like that Mr. Fancy pants!" Silver yelled at Zanther. Zanther gave an evil glare at Silver and he quieted down

"Ok, let's start off with an AC/DC attack!" Ran shot two electrical currents at Raquezez.[/COLOR]

"Barrior!" The attack was easily blocked by the defensive barrior

"Curses! That dang barrior attack...wait, Ram, use Sand Tornado!" A Tornado started to spew up.

"Hmm...an attack that always goes on that hurts non-ground types? Well, that can't save you from this attack! Raquezez! Use Data Distortion!" The green waves went straight at Ram.

"Ram, quick!" Ram knew what to do. It camaflouged into the sand surronding from the tornado as it sped up.

Zanther shield his eyes. "Getting tricky are we? Well, try to dodge this! Raquezez, use code rewrite!" The attack made the Sand tornado calm down to show the appearnce of Ram. "Now quick, Neo Distortio!" That attack hot Ram head on, knocking it out cold.

Opal was silent "...Ram.." She ran and knelted beside him "I'm so sorry...I let you down boy..." She returned him to his card.

"Ick, people and their emotions." Zanther cringed as the group narrowed their eyes at him
