A lot of people agree with you, and I agree with Josiah. Go for it man. If I had a scholarship that was directed at me, I would take it, or at least try for it. College is expensive, man...

So, my plan was to spend yesterday finishing up my last LittleBigPlanet level so I could show it to my teacher that night. So I got to work and things were going pretty well until suddenly my thermometer (which represents the amount of objects you can have in any given level) started shooting up. See, I had some enemies that were dropping bombs. Turns out that, even though the bombs weren't actually destroying anything, they were leaving burn marks on stuff every time a new one exploded which effect my object count, even though it shouldn't have. So I had to go, put a pause on the bomb dropping, and replace all the blackened objects with fresh ones in order to get my object count back to where it should be so I could finish the level. The whole process wasted something like 45 minutes to an hour. Finishing that, I was all ready to get back to work when I discovered that, for no apparent reason, my entire level had started glitching. First, a lot of objects that were supposed to be glued (stuck) together had suddenly become unglued (even things that aren't supposed to come apart in the first place) while other items that weren't glued to anything suddenly got glued to stuff they really shouldn't have been glued to. On top of that, a whole bunch of objects had randomly decided to disapear entirely... At this point I was pretty upset and it was looking like I had no chance of getting everything I wanted done before meeting with my teacher. But then, to top it off, I discovered that now when I start the level the ground (and everything attached to it) all spontaniously combusts. I have yet to figure out what the heck could possibly be causing it but, if I can't, I may have to remake a significant portion of the level almost from scratch. Fortunately, my teacher is very laid back (and I was able to show him everything I'd done with the editor paused (so the floor wouldn't blow), so it won't hurt my grade, but the chances of getting the level done in time for Christmas are pretty much nil and it's going to take who knows how long to fix once I finally have time. Stupid LBP...

I am happy. I have no idea why. The first snow fall before New Years in years here, and I spent the entire time sick. It's being rained away. I really didn't want much for Christmas, except to see my friends, and so far I've seen one. Well, three if you count my sister's ex and her current... I have no idea what the status is now, they've been hanging out, but I think they're officially not a couple anymore. Of course, being back home reminds me that I didn't do terribly much with my friends outside of random gatherings, DnD, and mostly school clubs.

I just called the doctors office this morning, because technically I've put off it longer than recommended for a severe sore throat. Not that it's severe today. It's been moderate, but it's going in cycles now, and I just want to prove it's not something I need special treatment for. The doctors office was not open as open times on Saturday are from 8 AM to noon. It was 11 AM. I'll just ignore it for a day and see if the cycle resumes. If so, I should have splitting headaches again tomorrow and messed up sinuses. But I'm done with being trapped in the house. Sorry family.

Edit: Because occasionally I look at myself, see that paragraph, and think I'm a jealous, overzealous jerk. Possibly unrelated happenings.

So there was supposed to be this event at the Toms River Library tonight, Anime Nation. This would be the third year, and the guest this time was supposed to be Quinton Flynn. I had a Dr. Riddles cosplay ready and everything... Our branch of the anime club was supposed to be performing again this year, as were a few other groups... but it was canceled. They're hoping to reschedule, but there's no guarantee it will happen at all.

Why was it canceled? Because of a big snowstorm. Ok, ok. Understandable. Weather's bad, it's too dangerous... except it hadn't even started snowing yet when they called it off. We were supposed to get a total of at least 18 inches of snow... the nest day. For tonight, it was only supposed to be 3-5, then snowing all night. The event was supposed to be from 7 to 9. It just started snowing about twenty minutes ago.

It's 9:30.

So they canceled it for nothing. Because they panicked about what the weatherman told them he thought would happen, obviously having no guarantee of what actually would happen. In conclusion: weather people suck.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

That sucks, Silver. Hope they can reschedule it.

Occasionally, incorrect weather reports can be to your advantage though. Like when they say it's going to rain but it really doesn't so you end up being the only person at a theme park or something similar.

((Note: I'm not referring to anybody on this website. But recently after leaving my Youtube profile blank for a few weeks, lets just say I found lots of people replying to my comments.))

But I just feel so loved by trolls right now. :)

They just LOVE to hack my friends' accounts and do crap with them. They just LOVE to mock me through other people's pages. They just LOVE to insult me through other haters. They just LOVE to never answer my questions and block me for my opinions being wrong. They just LOVE to tell my friends and family to back away because they think I'm "weird." They just LOVE to annoy the crap out of me until I burst. They just LOVE to copy my comments and post them just to mock me even more. :hearts:

Don't you just feel that way sometime? :)

This, however, is a pretty good quote somebody told me. It turned out to be pretty helpful. Though trolls do get really annoying, they don't deserve attention. Try to avoid antagonizing them, or they'll just grow worst. Just a bit of advice by me.
Meh, fanboys and haters come and go. We'll never stop them. If we antagonize them, they're just going to keep fighting back so its best to leave them alone."

Yeah, those type of people generally just want attention. They like starting fights and getting a rise out of others. Ignore them completely for a while, or always respond in a very polite and unbothered way, and they'll usually get bored and leave.

*Grumbles* So I've had a lot of problems with one of my exes current boyfriends. Well, seeing as I don't count anything that couldn't last a month to be a relationship I'm not totally sure what she is to me. She asked me out, and then 2 weeks later dumped me for a guy she literally just met. Me, being pretty annoyed, asked her what the heck. And now her psycho boyfriend's been basically stalking me, harassing me over facebook for daring to feel like this situation isn't exactly right. After a few of his messages I just blocked him outright and told him not to try to contact me anymore.

Well last night, I checked my mail and he sent me a letter. I never told him my address. Best part is he has a threat in the PS. So many things I could respond with... guys like this make me sick.

If you ignore him he'll probably shut up before long though, if there really was a threat in the letter, you could always take it to the police and get a restraining order on the guy.

The beautiful thing is that he clearly has no experience writing anything at all. His grammar is so terrible that my friends and I decided all I'm going to do is send him back his letter fully proofread with a red pen. And of course make a comment comparing his grammar "skills" to those in his actions-of-a-private-nature "skills".

The wonderful thing is he lives down in Utah, US, and I live in an entirely different country. So I don't take his threat seriously for a second, but it's irritating that he'd still bother to send the letter.

Ah the internet. It's led to a new age of global communication and information exchange and a new breed of angry whiny people who can't write to save their lives. :smack: Yeah, I really don't know what those people are thinking when they start making threats against someone who lives nowhere near them. In many cases, they don't even know the person's real name. I actually got a threat during the big (and utterly stupid) flame war a certain other comic launched against PV a long time ago. Of course, the guy was not only in another country but on another continent, couldn't do anything to hurt my site (it was on a nice secure private server), and could in no way counter the mountain of evidence I had that his claims were false.

Actually, it's probably because the guy lives so far away that he's being such a pain. Afterall, if he lived right down the street you could always walk over and punch him in the nose. But when he's a few thousand miles away, he doesn't have to worry about any serious retaliation. This is double in the case of people who are "annoymous" using screen names and what not. If everyone on the internet had to use their real name and address for every forum post and e-mail, you can believe they'd be a lot more civil. There'd also be a lot more stalkers, but every plan has its flaws.

Yeah, the tricky thing is not to irritate him too much - I'm actually very friendly with her grandma, we email back and forth a bunch (she gave me an amazing caramel recipe I'll have to post up sometime) and I'd rather not lose her as a friend. Coolest grandma ever.

The Anonymous have done a lot of crazy crap, but even they aren't all bad. Their worldwide protest of Scientology is one example where I'd have to agree with them - there's something really wrong with that cult. Just the idea that you'd have to pay big money to celebrities who follow a book written by a sci fi novelist is insane as it is without the 15-20 "suspicious deaths" over the years of some people who tried to back out of the religion or other such things. I forget their names, but I'm sure their stories aren't too hard to find.

Off topic, but yeah, Scientology is weird, cultish, and dangerous. No need to be annoymous to say that though.
