Moi,

EEEEEEEEEE!!!! *Flails* I Love anything Star Wars! Long Live R2-D2 and C3P0!....*Stops mid-flail* But I don't have a 3DS....so I'll just be a Star Wars nerd by watching the Original Trilogy over and playing Lego Star Wars (Original Trilogy) for Gamecube (On my Wii). Yeah, I like Episode 4, 5, and 6 the most out of all of the movies. The newer ones always just seemed...meh...Though I did like Jar Jar Binks in Episode I and General Grievous in Episode III.

Hiya!

Came back from the track meet today. I met so many cool people from other schools, and made some new friends in the process. Didn't do very good on the 100-meter dash, but I did okay on the discus, I thought. It's only my first meet for the season, I'm bound to get better!

Peace out!

Hi! Once again, nothing too exciting is going on. I've got more job applications to do and that's about it.

Hey!

Got a crapload of homework tonight, plus today wasn't a very good day either. When homework is done, going to watch Sailor Moon some, after a lot of my friends (all were girls) encouraged me to give it another try after so many years. I don't care if it's a girl's anime, I find it entertaining. (Sailor Saturn kicks a lot of butt, also.)

Afterwards, I'll probably catch up on some reading. Peace out!

Hello!

Ah, Sailor Moon. I remember watching that over... 7 or 8 years ago.... If I picked up the DVD, and watched, I'd be killed by nostalgia. Even listening to the song brings me back...

So, I asked my teacher about the research paper. We get to do some of it over Spring Break. [sarcasm] Oh boy. What a break [/sarcasm]

Watch Madoka if you ever get a chance. Just do it. You'll never look at magical girls the same way ever again.

Ohayou.

...I really shouldn't have done that.

Realized I STILL haven't watched the entire tenth One Piece movie, nor have I seen any of it with English subtitles. So I went and watched it all starting around 1:30 AM or so. Now I'm too hyped up to sleep because that was the most epic anime movie I have ever seen. I swear I was squeeing in sheer fangirling delight at least ten times in just the second half of the movie (and no, Silver, it was not completely over Zoro). It was awesome. No words can describe how much that movie rocked.

Excuse me while I go add it as my favorite movie on my DeviantArt account.

Hi! I've never seen Sailor Moon but I've got it all (it doesn't have a US liscense anymore, so I downloaded a full set of fansubs) and I'll be watching is sooner or later. I want to watch Madoka too, though I'm kinda waiting for the last two episodes to come out first. My favorite magical girl show so far is Akazukin Chacha. It's a cutesy kids' show very very very loosely based on Little Red Riding Hood, but it's hillarious. Card Captor Sakura is pretty good too...though only if you completely avoid 4Kids English dub. I mean, 4Kids is bad in general but Sakura was quite likely their worst dub ever. They didn't even play the episodes in order.

Hey!

Yeah, Sailor Moon is fun to watch. I mainly wanna watch the S series, but I have about 50 episodes before I get there.

Aside from that, I've had a pretty good week. Some friends of mine, tonight, over the phone were being somewhat hypocritical, I won't tell the story, though. I just love when people like accusing me of the stupidest things. :) Hahahahaha......

Going biking this weekend! Peace out!

? Cardcaptor's wasn't 4kids. It was these guys. And yeah, they did brutalize it quite a bit, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as 4kids' One Piece dub... also at least all the main characters kept their names, which was much nicer than 4kids would have been to them.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! So it was... That's odd, I could have sworn it was 4Kids who did Cardcaptors. Regardless, I'd say it was worse than 4Kids Once Piece.

Cardcaptors Problems:
1. 31 episodes (including the first 7) were dropped entirely.
2. The rest of episodes were played out of order, destroying any remaining semblance of plot.
3. All the Japanese text removed and they didn't even bother to replace it. Writting is just invisible.
4. The episodes were heavily edited.
5. Anything that anyone could possible consider controversial was removed.
6. They cut and edited scenes with a stated goal of changing many of the characters' personalities.
7. I can't really remember the voices actors, but I doubt they were good. At very least, I do remember that many of the character names were badly mispronounced.

As bad a 4Kids One Piece was, at least it kept its episodes and they played in the right order.

What are you talking about? 4kids didn't keep the episodes. They cut SEVEN story arcs. They may have otherwise been in order, but uh... That seems like kind of a big deal to me. They altered tons of text, and it wasn't even in Japanese to begin with. All the episodes were heavily edited, anything that could possibly be considered controversial was removed, they cut and edited scenes, destroyed character development, removed almost the entire musical score, added poorly-written puns from characters that would normally never make silly jokes and at moments where it was completely inappropriate, added random and illogical accents that could actually be considered racist profiling (Shanks has red hair and likes beer? He must be Irish!), removed any and all reference to death, created tons and tons of plot holes... There were a few name changes too, mostly insignificant ones, but it's not like switching from Japanese was an issue... every time a character did have a Japanese-sounding name, though, it was mispronounced. Also... "When you get wet, you're a big stiff!" Yeah... I'm not gonna defend the "Cardcaptors" dub, but there is no way to argue that One Piece's dub was any better. At least kids could still enjoy "Cardcaptors"... they didn't even do that right for One Piece.

Hi! They cut story arcs? Well, to be honest, I stopped watching the 4Kids One Piece pretty quickly so I'm basing my comparison off the first few episodes. Knowing 4Kids, it probably did get quite a lot worse.

Hey.

Currently editing the song I wrote for my bud for her birthday... I own no music editing software or whatever, so I'm using Move Maker... yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I needed to edit the vid clip of me singing and piano playing (since I had no better way to record my voice/piano) so that it overlaps with clips of me playing trumpet... it's sounding interesting so far. I need to make sure they all overlap at the exact right millisecond... which si fun. I might try and add some drum kit stuff if I have the time, too. Definitely could use a crash cymbal a few times...

ALSO my OTHER friend's birthday party is today (MusicMaker... she was here for like a week before she got distracted by something shiny :P).... Picnik'd her a few photos that she hasn't seen yet and bought her a giant chocolate bar and a googly worm... not quite as creative, but there's an inside joke behind the song I wrote for my other friend, so I had to go with it. I enjoy being creative and or clever, it's one of my favorite things to do :) Plus, writing a song is much cheaper than normal presents.... though it takes way longer :P More fun, though! I might post the song here when I'm finished.... and I hopefully finish in time :P
