Strange how all the common ones seem to be everyone's first shinies. Mine was a Tentacool back in Sapphire, I always thought the green instead of the red bulbs seemed more poisonous.

why the heck did Microsoft leave that out for so long?...the wireless adapters for the old 360s are ridiculously overpriced.

Now that I've been here in Japan for 4 days and Philippines for a week, I'm now heading to Hong Kong for a short vacation. I get really jetlag, easily, I must say. Sleeping for 10 hours is the bomb, though. I haven't gotten so much sleep especially now that school is over.

As for other crap. lol, I've had nothing to do for the past few weeks but listen to some Eminem and Linkin Park while playing Animal Crossing: Wild World. I miss my 360 at home, playing COD till you drop dead.

(looks up) Shiny Raticate? Not bad. My only shiny with me now is Machamp, however it's only level 30 so it's not very useful right now.

Hi! Thing is, Marley, I don't really play FPSs, at least not often. I played the Metroid Primes, but they were more platforming and exploration than shooting, despite being first person. I played Bioshock for the story (gameplay wasn't bad either though). And someday I'll play Half Life cause it's supposed to have a good story and influenced so many other games and all that. I'm sure there's probably some other FPSs I'd like, but in the end I just don't enjoy the gameplay as much as some other genres, I'm not interested in online death matches and leader boards, and most FPSs aren't known for their stories (which is another big thing for me). Combine this with the fact that I don't have time to play anywhere near all the games near the top of my list... As for the slim... If I get a 360 I'd really need wi-fi (I'm not stringing a couple hundred feet of ethernet cable across the floor) and it can't be any buggier than the regular 360s.

In other news, I saw Toy Story 3 yesterday. It was really good (not that I was expecting otherwise) and pretty emotional in spots. Pixar seems to be getting really good at creating sad sections in their movies...

I am proud to say that I did not get my 360 for FPSs, and also own no FPSs (unless you really count Portal as one).

The best console for FPSs is the PC, for the sole reason that aiming with a mouse is far more accurate than aiming with an analog stick.

I didn't like FPSs either until I played Halo 3. It's got one of the most expansive story lines I've ever seen. You kinda have to immerse yourself into it though (there are books and such). It's also got a solid MP, as I'm sure you guys have heard.

And CollyChan, I was unaware anyone besides myself and Neo had Xbox live...

Err... When I play FPSs on the computer, I prefer to have a nub, Accupointer, or trackpoint, whatever you want to call it. Which is, basically, a joystick without the stick. Soooo... I disagree, but it all depends on the player.

Hello!

Wow, I'm getting to used to staying up past 1:00am. For some reason, the most common shows/movies for me to watch this late at night is creepy/scary ones...weird, the older I get, the less common sense I obtain. Last night I was up 'till 5:00am, playing Animal Crossing: Wild World, and listening to Rammstein.

Anyway, I have been very bored since school got out. It's weird how everyone gets so exited for summer vacation, then once it starts....everyone gets bored. *shrug* Well...I should get to bed soon....Ah-hahahaha! yeah right. I going to look for more creepy shows to watch.

Hi! I'm still only at episode 52 or so in One Piece, since I'm just slowly buying the DVDs instead of getting it online. But I am up to date with the US release of the manga, which is only a few months behind Japan at this point so yeah, there's lots of awesome stuff later on.

Oh yeah, Portal, that's the other FPS I've played. While I haven't played enough FPSs yet to have a definate opinion, in most cases I prefer playing games with a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard. If/when I get a 360 I probably won't get a gold subscription either. I hardly ever play online with my Wii or PS3 so I can't see the 360 being much different. Long as I can buy games from the store, I'll be happy. Hopefully I'll be getting the advance money for my book in the next week or two and then I can decide if I want to get a 360 or put the money towards a new computer.

To which I have to reply, being the nerd that I am, what is the difference between a 360 and a computer? Other than a little bit of software, and the hard drives almost being more expensive than the rest of the system.

Some day I should start watching One Piece again... Somewhere in the 300's myself. Really like the series, but once I start, I don't stop, and I don't have time to get addicted again.
