Hey!

Actually Cheezy, it makes it 1 in 2048, but you were close.
Nothing much going on for me. Gonna go watch One piece until the new episode of Futurama comes on tonight. Should be aweseome.

'Lo, peeps. Yesterday there was an pearthquake in the Ottawa area that measured 5.0 on the Richter scale. I was in a restaurant eating lunch at the time, and honestly I was sort of disappointed once I realized it was an earthquake because nothing in the restaurant fell down; not even the cups. It didn't feel like that large an earthquake to me, but apparently the tremors were felt as far away as New York City. In case anyone is wondering, I'm fine, and nobody was killed (I think).

Also, YouTube added a vuvuzela button to some of it's videos. Wheeeee...

Hi! My facebook news feed was flooded with my Ontario friends going "what, we felt an earthquake!" It was interesting at first but you can only read so many of the exact same post before getting bored.

I want a smart phone. They're just so neat and it'd be a huge upgrade from the junker I have now...

Exactly, we had a tornado warning (which has never happened in Calgary) and there was 50 people saying "OH GOD A TORNADO!"

Hi! Yeah, after Japan I realized that earthquakes really aren't a big deal most of the time. You need a pretty big one for it to actually do any damage.

Wait... New Futurama?!? *Runs to Wikipedia* Awesome! I only wish I'd heard about it sooner so I could have seen the first episode. Need to check when they're going to rerun it...

Earthquake? Man.

Hello, not much going on here. No natural disasters of any sort, although we did have a tornado warning a while back.

I watched the USA - Algeria game on Wednesday. We were in the gym, and they had rolled a tv in on one of those cart things and we were all crowded around it. The room was burning hot, so that just made it even more stuffy. You shoulda heard it, everyone yelling when we missed a goal opportunity or when a yellow card was given. When we finally scored that goal, though, everyone went nuts. We were jumping all around and hugging each other. It was awesome. ;-)

Hey.

Slept over PurplePrincess' house last night with MusicMaker. Stayed up 'til 5 AM... t'was a party.

We ended up watching two Hindi movies (with subtitles) which were quite interesting (and long... PurplePrincess says they're all absurdly long)... and kind of led to me having Hindi songs stuck in my head when I know about two words in Hindi... wheee... The songs at least have a few random English words, which make me happy, but still... kiiiiind of lost :P And I can't sing them all next week (see below) because I'll just be around a bunch of kids who don't know a single word of Hindi (I know like two... score) so it will REALLY look like I'm just babbling... yaaaaaaaaay!

So, I leave tomorrow at 6:30 AM to go on a week long mission trip in South Dakota! Won't have interent or cell phones for a week... wheeee... But, looking forward to helping people :)

Haha, that sounds really awesome, Sira :D

So, in that case, see ya in a week!
May the Triforce be with you.

Hi! Nothing too exciting happening at the moment. Weather has been really nice here, though I've been too busy working on my book to spend all that much time outside.

...I don't want to talk about today's game.

Now I don't feel bad that I had to work all day. I didn't have to witness it myself.

On a lighter note, I have off tomorrow, for the first time in a while. So that's good.

Mission trip in South Dakota? Wow, that's far away, Saber (At least I think it is. I don't know the average distance one travels for a mission trip.)

I hate when you have a song in your head that you don't know the words to. It's worse when it's in a different language (One time I had the german version of 99 Red Balloons stuck in my head. I sounded like this: "Dada-blahblah-ish degat/ Shuda-doda-doaladoo/ 99 Luftballoons." The actual lyrics were "Mann, wer hätte das gedacht/ Dass es einmal soweit kommt/ Wegen 99 Luftballons.")

Hey Marley, I saw a shiny Ratticate once. But I didn't know what a shiny was. So I killed it. X-(
Sometimes ignorance is not bliss. Unless I never learned what a shiny was, then it would be cause I'd never realize what an opportunity I'd missed.
And the thing is I noticed it was shiny. I had the gyrados so I knew the shine animation when I saw it. Yet, little me didn't put two and two together. Yeah...little me wasn't too game savvy. I first thought that to win a battle you just repeatedly pressed "A" until it said "So-and-so Defeated!".

I've been very talkative today.

It was a shiny Raticate for you too, Sira?
Same here. I was playing my DS at night, and I think I was grinding my Pokemon in Pearl version in the post-Elite-Four area (somewhere in the Battle Zone). I noticed the Raticate that popped up was kinda darker than usual, and the screen seemed to have flashed, but I'd had my eyes closed just a moment earlier, so missed when it actually showed up. Just to be safe, though, I thought I'd try to catch it.
Whittled it all the way down to a sliver of red, then it KOed itself with Take Down.

Ah well.

Hi! If GameFreaks ever gets around to improving enemy AI in Pokémon, they'll hopefully remove the suicidal tendency some pokémon seem to have.

I've been toying around with the idea of putting some of the advance money for my book towards a 360. It's either that or a new computer and the 360 would be a whole lot cheaper. There's actually still not many games I really want on it though. Half the 360 games I want were also released for the PS3 (often in improved forms) and a lot of the others are also on PC (though I'd much rather player them on a console than my laptop). In the end, there's only a few 360 exclusives I care about and one of them did get a much nicer PS3 port...in Japan. But anyway, seems like a good time to get a 360 now that the slim version is out and all. And that's probably the one I'd get. Sure the Elite is nicely discounted, but it apparently lacks wireless internet which I'd need and the slim has (why the heck did Microsoft leave that out for so long?) and the wireless adapters for the old 360s are ridiculously overpriced.

Hello!

Wow...I remember actually feeling that earthquake. I was freaking out! It was just like in a movie. My cup of coffee (yes, I drink coffee, but not black) started to make little ripples in it, then some of the vases on the shelves next to me started shaking. I first thought it was a low flying airplane or something.

Anyway, on my birthday, I got a DSI XL, A Vermont Teddy Bear (Yes, I still love stuffed animals), who I named Ohanzee, cause it means shadow in native american...and he's a dark color, and lastly, I got Lots of Money! ^w^ I'm going to pillage the nearest Gamestop!

Hey!

Yes Josiah, you should get a 360. They rock. Careful when getting a slim one though, they might be kinda buggy. As for exclusives, it's mostly shooters for the 360 (such as the Halo series, one of the greatest game series ever.) I also hear that the 360 online is a lot less laggy.
