Hallo.

My Philosophy teacher showed us Man of La Mancha recently. It's safe to say that I fell in love with it. The Impossible Dream is probably one of my favorite songs from a musical.

Hey.

My friend's dad died today... She wasn't close friend, but she was my friend, and we'd been on the same hockey team for many years (except last year she was on a different team). She was on my hockey team this year... at the beginning of the season, her father looked fine. Few weeks in, he was tired, weak, and old looking. Near the end, he was in a wheelchair. I've been told the name of the disease several times, but I keep forgetting... Basically, once you're diagnosed, you've got a few months left. You just sorta waste away.

I never cry, but I cried for a good 10 minutes straight. My eyes are still red. Not right after I heard... but a few hours later it just really hit me. Dear God. Just like that, they suddenly had a few months left together. I mean... I knew he was dying, but I thought he had maybe another month or so...

It's really made me think... anything can happen. Suddenly you can lose it all. Dear God I can't believe this... I knew he was dying but for it to happen... God....

Wow, that's really rough, I'm sorry to hear that Saber. I'd give you a hug, but what with you being who knows how far away I hope this'll do. *Hug*

Congrats Gar, that's great!

It's kind of amazing to think that I've been here nearly 3 years now. Who'd have thought I'd stick around when Celebifly brought me in for her extra KotF points? Bah... I know I was gonna say something else but it's completely left me. Maybe next post.

EDIT: I remember! Silver posting off his facebook page reminded me that the only person I chat to outside PVF is Celebifly, so if anyone wants to chat elsewhere my email is retnab@live.com

Hi! All forums members are free to talk to me on AIM or MSN, when I'm on anyway, which hasn't been very often lately.

Sorry to hear that, Saber. I hope your friend and her family is doing ok.

Congrats, Gar! I hope you like it!

As for me...Final Fantasy XIII comes out tomorrow!!! They're doing a midnight launch at Gamestop but, seeing as I'd rather play it when I'm wide awake, I'll probably just pick up my copy at midnight, get a good night's sleep, then start playing tomorrow morning. As a result, I may not be on the forums much tomorrow (want to make up for all the play time I'll miss while at GDC). Speaking of which, I'm flying to San Francisco early Wednesday morning for GDC. Assuming my hotel has free internet like they advertised, I'll definately get on sometime on Wednesday but probably not till the evening.

Three years ago... That was the year I got Duke of the forums, and my first year here. I'm still surprised I missed the first week and still managed to get third... Man, I had no life. And we have more smileys because of it!

I'm doing homework now, can you tell? Yay for Spring Break! In which I have too much homework! That is, If I don't get a head start on homework now, I won't have another break until summer. Yay!

I'm sorry to hear that Saber. E-hug? :-)(-:

Hey.

Still a bit upset about hte whole friend's-father-dying thing... the hockey team is working on coming up with something special to do for our friend. Thanks for your support, guys :)

Today in gym was badminton day... super awesome :D I love badminton... not sure if I ever mentioned, but some time around mid-spring through sometime in summer my friend had his badminton net up and we had some epic games. Today in gym was doubles, but I paired myself up with another girl who actually does stuff in class and doesn't just sit on the sidelines like a good percentage of the girls. We played against three pairs of boys, and we won two out of three games. Fun time. Nets were strangely low, though... like, I'm about average height and I could see over them. Tall dude on the other team could easily spike it and we couldn't do anything about it. Ah well.

Homework time... whee...

Hi! Yeah, you did pretty awesome that year, Poik. Especially consider that was the first and busiest KotF we've had yet. Both Neo and Silver were really going at it. So far, none of the subsequent kings have come close to beating his record, even when you factor in the changes that have been made to the scoring since then. Astral pulled off a similar late start victory last year as well.

Lotsa interesting stuff happened...but I can't remember anything in particular right now.

Oh, I started up FIT undergraduate classes again this last Saturday. Our teacher is Slovakian, and she's been living in the US for a few decades now, so she completely understands english, but she has a really heavy accent. You'd think she'd be hard to understand. Actually, the one everyone has a hard time understanding is me . I talk incredibly fast. So now I'm the one who has to keep repeating herself.

Also, OH MY GOD I DON'T HAVE SWIMMING ANYMORE! Sorry for the blasphemy, but I was just so happy when it ended. I now have those two hours five days a week back to me again.

Saber, that sounded rough. The fact that it isn't yet possible to hug through the computer irks me.

Hello PVF! I saw the Facebook post and I decided I needed to actually visit the forums more than once a month.

Highlights of Cheez's tiem away:

-Techie in a school play. The Outsiders, really good story.
-Team Fortress 2. I would advice you to get this game, but you may get so obcessed with it that you don't visit the forums. *cough*
-A girl. :o
-And... oh wait, those three things took up my entire time in the last 3 months. :D

Bah, I've got until Thursday to finish this project and I keep putting it off. The only thing that will be difficult is the visual representation, the rest of it is easy.

Hey. The FCAT's this week and I don't have to take it, so I get to sleep in tomorrow morning! Yesss.

Hang in there, Saber, and just be glad it didn't happen to you. K-kidding! Er...

Heso! Cheesey and "a girl", sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hey.

Anyone here taken the AP English Language and Comp exam? Silver, didn't you take it a few years back? Yeah... I'm taking it this year. No, I'm not taking an AP class. Yes, I am taking it. My school is weird. Apparently we learn enough material in the class I'm taking to qualify for it. I'm still effin' screwed... because we did a practice multiple choice section today and, though I finished in time, I doubt I even got half of them right. So many words I don't know... and I'm so screwed for the essays >.<

Anyway... should get to that homework.
