(I'm just kinda waiting for people to post. XD)

<span style='color:red'> Louanne cocked her head at Satashi. "See why I prefer katana? They're lighter and easier to handle." She grinned as she drew one from its sheath, twirling it expertly. "Well, that means we set out in the morning, correct?"</span>

<span style='color:teal'>"Yes... But let me clear one thing up first. It would be better if you fought the other people around here rather than wild monsters... they don't heal themselves, you know. You can fight them if you need to train, but don't over do it. I don't want to find a forest full of monsters knocked out on the ground. Now get some sleep, we've got a lot to do tomorrow..."</span>

<span style='color:gray'>"Works for me. Night dawgs."</span>

<span style='color:teal'>"Argh..."</span>
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

~Later that night~

<span style='color:teal'>Ezekiel studied the ancient texts by candlelight. His new Hippogryph was happily munching away at some oats and getting adjusted to captive life. Ezekiel pored over the old pages that told of small machines that held enitre worlds within them... and when certain things fall into place, a path to another world is opened....

Just then, the black-furred lion-morph heard a crash, spooking his new monster. Quickly, Ezekiel called his Hippogryph into it's card, grabbed his staff and his daggers and went out to investigate the disturbance.

... that was the last conscious thing he ever did...</span>

<span style='color:teal'>Only a little boy saw the lion-morph get dragged away that night... Loaded into a machine and taken north...</span>

(It probably will. XD)

<span style='color:red'> At the same time, Louanne was sparring playfully with her monsters. Using a meticulously blunted kunai, she poked and prodded them while they squealed and wriggled away. They'd then retaliate with a scaled-down attack, like "Mini FireBall" or "Tiny Snowstorm." After defrosting the kunai or waiting for it to cool, Louanne would try again. It was just some relaxation at night before they all went to sleep.

Suddenly, Flamewing froze and chirped worriedly. "What is it?" Louanne stood up and listened. All three heard a loud crash. There was a brief silence, then the creak of a door opening. Seconds later, the same door snapped shut and she heard soft, almost inaudible footsteps. From the rapid cadence, whoever was outside was running. "Guys, be very quiet," the girl warned her monsters. She tip-toed to the lights and turned them off. All three listened intently.

All of a sudden, the sounds of fighting erupted outside the single window of their room. Icekit mewed softly and leapt into Louanne's arms as Flamewing cowered next to her thigh. She placed a hand reassuringly on the bird's head and cradled Icekit with her other arm. Very suddenly, the fighting stopped and something heavy hit the ground. After a baredly perceptable pause, that something was dragged away, accompanied by a few grunts. There was a murmur of low voices, the sound of something being loaded onto something else, and then silence.

Louanne looked down at her terrified companions. "What was that about?" she wondered out loud. </span>

"So... What'd I miss?"</span>

The next morning, the group awoke to see Elder Koda pacing around the house in state of worry and shock. They followed him to Simeon's room as the Elder mumbled to himself, as if her were thinking aloud... and he did not acknowledge the presence of the group nearby...

It was little disturbing, but the group observed the Elder as he traced invisible footsteps, then walked outside glancing around for clues.

After walking a little ways, the Elder stopped whispered a faint, "No..."

A trace of blood stained the ground, and there were ruts in the grassy ground, indicating a heavy object was resting here, then it moved away... and all Elder Koda could mutter was, "... They succeeded..."

He then turned to the four would-be heroes who had been following him through this.

"Children... I feared this day would come. Ezekiel has been taken by the Kohler..."

<span style='color:red'>Louanne looked at Koda with a worried look in her eyes, "The Kohler?"</span>

"... the evil that has been a plague upon our lands, child." the Elder replied, "They have conqured many lands, and many races have fallen unwillingly under their control... Ezekiel was the last of his kind who still walked free, and I raised him as a son when he appeared on my doorstep 20 years ago... Now the Kohler has found him, and I fear what they have in mind...

... You four may be next."

<span style='color:gray'>"So, dawg, what happened to the dawg?"</span>

"He was taken by the Kohler..."

<span style='color:gray'>"Yeah, I got that, word, but is he like, dead or something, yo?"</span>

"Who can say?"

<span style='color:red'>"And is there anything we can do?"</span>

"I'm afraid not..." The Elder mumbled, but then started thinking. Maybe... maybe they were the only ones that could do something. But then again, what were the chances of that?

<span style='color:blue'>"Well, we can't just sit around here and do nothing... C'mon, let's look for some kinda clues."</span>

"Maybe... maybe they are the heroes the legends spoke of..." the Elder whispered to himself as the group went out to search the scene of the crime more thoroughly.

<span style='color:blue'>"Kilth, this is so not the time for that.</span>"Satashi said in a slightly annoyed voice as he adjusted his goggles on.

<span style='color:orange'>"That's a good point there. We should be worrying about what happened to Ezekiel right now."</span>

<span style='color:red'>Louanne was blinking stupidly at the others. "I heard them," she thought. "That was the commotion my monsters and I heard last night." Her hands balled into fists. "Well, I sure hope we get Ezekiel back. He's our guide here, and from the looks of things, we need all the help we can get on this..." Her face set in grim determination, she walked over to the rest of the team. </span>

<span style='color:teal'>He moaned as he awoke to the rattle of chains and a throbbing pain on the side of his head...

The blunt force wound on the side of his head was still bleeding, dried bits of blood caked in his sable mane... Most of his possessions were now gone: his staff, his daggers, his monster companions, even his coat and shirt... He was alone and vulnerable... but he was nowhere near weak.

Slowly, he rose from the cold steel floor he lay on and made a move toward the only souce of light in the small, isolated room: a slot on a heavily barracaded door. He peered through and his heart froze...

... His people... the color gone from their eyes, the luster faded from their graying fur... All of them walking with no minds of their own, gaunt and soulless -- All standing on the edge of life and death... Through slavery, all assimilated as drones of the Kholer...

"Zombies. Not undead... but something far worse..." he whispered, "I'm next to be assimilated... Great Spirit, may those children be the ones. I don't want to face them as a drone of the Kholer..."</span>

-------------------------

<span style='color:teal'>A little boy sat shivering beneath a tree, trying to make sense of what he saw last night...</span>

<span style='color:red'>... Louanne saw the shivering boy and came up to him, "Hullo.... are you okay?"</span>

<span style='color:teal'>"... Zombies... Fast ones..." the boy whispered.</span>

<span style='color:red'>Louanne did what she could to calm the boy so she could make sense of what he was trying to say, "Did you say 'zombies?' </span>"

<span style='color:teal'>The boy nodded, "They took Master 'Zeke... Took him north to the Lion-Lands..." his eyes seemed to beg, "I'll help you. I know as much as Master 'Zeke. I want to help my teacher."</span>

<span style='color:red'>Louanne looked at her companions. </span>They seemed to be as baffled as she... Having one more wouldn't hurt, and with Ezekiel missing, maybe even dead, any guide would do...

<span style='color:red'>"Do you have a name?"</span>

<span style='color:teal'>"Joshua."</span>

------------------
New Chara--

<span style='color:teal'>Name: Joshua Tigris
Age: 10
Appearance: Asian with cinnamon colored-eyes and short, black hair. Wears a simple blue Karate uniform and weighted training boots. Carries two sticks and a dagger for weapons. Has a jade protection amulet around his neck on a steel chain.
Personality: Being a little kid, Joshua is very naiive and has never taken on such a big responsibility... He only has one monster card, and he hasn't caught a monster yet.
Speech Color: Teal/Italic
</span>

Notes: Josh is just temporary until Zeke gets freed, so I'll send him home until we need a plot device.

There was something else I needed to say... ><;; I'll post it later. Check back, when I do.--- Oh... don't kill the Zombie Drones. We'll find a way to free the Drones later (I dunno... we'll figure out something)...

And I was thinking that we might have a turncoat or someone's gonna die in this quest, since Koda said "four" instead of "five" (There's Louanne, Kilith, Satashi, Tim, and Spirn)... Should we run with that or do I go back and fix it?

Okay... That's off my chest... Later, kids.

(I actually took the trouble and waded through the spam to read the RP through... Turns out Louanne is native of the Alternate Realm of Monsters, and the prophecy in the old book Ezekiel was reading pointed out four boys from another world... I could tweak it a bit now... Rawr. Great Master, what I wouldn't give for the power to clean up spammy posts. T.T;;)

<span style='color:teal'>"ROAR!" Ezekiel fell from an iron punch.</span>

"DRINK!" the armored, ogre-like prison warden commanded, waving a canteen in front the chained lion-morph's face.

<span style='color:teal'>Ezekiel just snarled and wiped the blood from his mouth, "No."</span>

"You no take drink?" the ogre-warden growled.

<span style='color:teal'>"I know it's poisoned, stones for brains." Ezekiel snapped.</span>

"If you no drink," the warden reached for his left gauntlet, "The Snake get you, then."

<span style='color:teal'>"Snake?"</span>

A pair of emerald eyes emerged from the orge's gauntlet, cresting the head of what appeared to be a tendril of darkness.

"This be the Snake, Lion-man. The Snake get you."

The shadowy serpent hissed, a neon-green tongue flickered into the air.

<span style='color:teal'>"I'm not afraid of that."</span>

"Afraid soon you will be, furball..." The ogre growled with a sadistic smile.

The Snake lunged forward... and a cry of pain rang out. The cry fell on deaf ears.

-------------------------------------------

<span style='color:teal'>Joshua was flipping through the pages of Ezekiel's tome while the others went about gathering supplies for their trip. The little boy was praying with all his might that they won't be too late.

His eyes then fell on the page telling of the four warriors of the winds, chosen by fate to come from another world outside the one Joshua knew... Joshua read on and saw Louanne... Elder Koda... another boy, and himself... there were others they had yet to mee, but for some mysterious reason, the people they were destined to meet were merely silhouettes on the pages...

"Maybe I should take this book with me..." Joshua thought out loud.</span>

"Good idea, apprentice." Koda said with a smile, a bit of straw clamped in his teeth, "Ezekiel will appreciate you bringing it to him... and it will no doubt serve you on your quest."

<span style='color:teal'>Joshua smiled and bowed his thanks, packing Ezekiel's book into his travelling knapsack, then he scampered out the door to look for his new friends-- </span>while the Elder watched from the doorstep.
