<span style='color:red'>Mat returned to the others and twitched his eye. "Oh...hey, Teruko," Mat said, glaring at Imateru. "I see you already made a friend. I met him a while ago. I guess a b-..uhh...friend to you, huh?" Mat backed away a little, clenching his fist while it's still in his pocket. "I'm...uh...gonna go to the Cerulean Gym. I got something to take care of."Teruko-Sama wrote: <span style='color:red'>"Funny that he ran off like that, innit Hoshi?" Teru didn't hear a response. Hoshi was lagging behind, hovering over her Xatu obsessively.
"Stupid girl." she muttered. Turning a corner, she spotted a bench to rest on. "Hoshi! Found a spot to rest for a few seconds!"
"Nori, return." Hoshi recalled the Pokemon and ran over to Teruko. "Nice city, ain't it?" she said. The two girls sat down together.
"Good thing you stopped thinking of Imakuni, eh Teru?" she added. Teruko nodded. "He wasn't much of a boyfriend anyway. Everything scared him!" she recalled, brushing her black hair out of her eyes. Hoshi laughed. "He was always such a nerd, too. Annoying person to travel with." The two girls talked on about him, until Imateru suddenly burst from his Poke Ball.
"RIYAA IYA! RIIIII!" Imateru squealed excitedly and ran down the street.
"What?! Where are you going?" Hoshi shouted. Teruko sweatdropped and a panicked expression came over her face. "No way in HELL...." her voice trailed off. She abruptly stood up and followed the baby Kangaskhan. Hoshi ran after them, quite confused.
Imakuni walked slowly down the street, his eyes to ground. Suddenly, a small weight clamped down near the back of his feet. "RIIII!"
"What?" He turned around. "No way in Hell! Imateru!!!" He picked the Pokemon up, tears coming to his eyes. Imateru made cute, babyish noises.
Teruko stopped at the corner, her eyes wide. "Imakuni!" The boy turned around at the mention of his name. "Teruko-chan!" He ran over and tackle-glomped her to the ground.
Hoshi watched the scene, quite disturbed. "What in the name of Lugia are you doing still here?"
Imakuni grinned. "Sightseeing! And my word, have I been greeted with a lovely sight!"
Teruko sweatdropped. "Why me..." she grumbled.</span>
Mat ran off to the Cerulean Gym, trying to keep away from the problem in his mind. He entered the doors to find Misty with her pokemon. "Been awhile, eh?" </span>
Misty turned and smiled. "You've grown up. Haven't seen you since we stopped at Pallet to prepare for the Pokemon League," Misty replied. "I guess you're wondering what hapened to me and Ash."
<span style='color:red'>"Hell yeah! You told me you liked him, but you never dated him! So where's the little sap now!"</span>
Misty's face saddened a little. "He's at Hoenn," she said.
<span style='color:red'>"Hoenn?" Mat said. "Oh yeah! Prof. Oak told me about it! Supposed to have POkemon we've never seen before! Oh yeah! Aren't we gonna battle?"</span>
"I totally forgot!" she said and walked to one side of the pool as Mat walked to the other side. "So, did you find yourself a girl, just like you kept on saying?"
<span style='color:red'>Mat flinched and took out a pokeball. "I think it's best not to talk about it! I got a badge to win! Go, Spectral!" Mat released his Eevee onto a float.</span>
Misty released her Staryu. "How about a two pokemon battle?"
<span style='color:red'>"Great! I only have two pokemon anyway! Eevee, Tackle!" Spectral jumped from float to float and tackled Staryu. Staryu counter-attacked with tackle and the two started slamming each other.</span>
"For a beginning trainer, you're pretty good!"
<span style='color:red'>"Just you wait! I'm gonna keep on winning every battle until I can beat Ash!"</span>
