Moving his feet to the edge of the bed, Alex took a few steps to the table. He took a key from a box and opened another box. Inside was a bottle of a purple liquid and he moved it close to Nikka for her to read it.

"Place some on the tattoo. Things will happen."

Nikka nodded obediantly, and helped him onto the bed again. She did as she was told, and traced the tattoo with the liquid once again.

When Nikka touched his side, Alex felt more pain, but wasn't able to hiss or make a noice at Nikka. Inside the bed, his back was to Nikka for her to trace the tattoo. Alex forgot that it will take a few hours to work, but that will get his strength back and hope for his voice.

Nikka could tell she was causing him pain. He was tensing, and he twitched every so often. She bit her lip. She didn't like to cause anyone any kind of pain, but she knew she needed to. Nikka gritted her teeth, and finished tracing it.

After that process was done, blood was coming out of the sides of the dragon. Alex didn't mind, but the expression on Nikka was priceless for Alex to see. Yet he kept a grin on his face, as he felt the pain some. He took a hand and gave it to Nikka.

Nikka's face contorted into something like horror when she saw the blood. Alex only smirked, and that made her feel slightly better. She squeezed his hand slightly.

Alex moved his left hand and moved it for Nikka to see the door. He knew that he wanted Nikka to be here, but he had to rest. His eyes landed on the moon from the window, and felt calm. He coughed as he turned around.

Nikka nodded in understanding, and kissed the back of Alex's neck, before leaving his room, making sure to close the door behind her. Leaving only reminded her of Thomas and she scowled, knowing she would run into him again.

Taking sometime, Alex put his pillow on the top of the bed and put his head behind it. Feeling for a pen by the nightstand, Alex took the paper and wrote something inside, and then fell asleep.

Waking up, he moved his arm to the tattoo and the blood was gone to his surprise. Breathing, his lungs nor his sides ached. Alex moved his legs around and bent them to one side of the bed. He then took the paper he had written and and put it in his box with the bottle. Alex then pulled the covers off of him and took a step on the floor. He put on his black clothes from his closet. Undoing the door knob, he looked down the hall to see if anyone was there. Unsure about himself, he took a step at a time and after a while, was at the bottom of the stairs.

Nikka yawned slightly and made her way to her room. She needed to wash up and change. It had been a long night, and she needed it. She stood outside of her door for a moment, and then opened it. She could have been sure there had been someone behind her. Nikka shook it off, and loped into the restroom. She took a long shower, and placed Alex's dress on a hanger. She left it on the bed, and changed into darker clothes, glad to be in something casual. Nikka returned to the dress with a washtowel, and began to scrub the blood off it gingerly. When she finished, she made her way into the hallway with the dress, and once more came face to face with Thomas.

Alex turned the cornor to see Thomas and Nikka standing there. His face changed when he say Thomas, but he respected him to an extant. Alex moved closer to hear what they were saying.

"Nikka.." Thomas began, his voice low. Nikka cut him off. "I told you to leave me alone," she hissed angrilly, keeping her voice low as well. He shrugged. "How can I?" he asked, smirking. "Oh, Stop that!" Nikka said, her voice raising slightly. Thomas touched her face, and Nikka recoiled. "I'm engaged, Thomas, do you not understand that?" she muttered. He sighed and shook his head. "I told you I loved you, did you not understand that?" he retorted. Nikka shook her head. "I'm sorry Thomas, I really am. But it's a little late.." she said quietly, beginning to walk off. He caught her hand. "I will wait for you.." he said slowly, before dissapearing. Nikka stared off into space for a moment, before returning to reality.

Standing in the middle of the hall, Alex saw that Nikka was about to cry. He moved in closer to see if she was all right. Yet he took a few more steps towards her. "I know who it is." Alex said as he put his arms around her.

Nikka was surprised to see Alex there, and she winced, realizing that the sensation rushing through her was that of confusion. She didn't know what to do. She wrapped her arms around Alex, and sobbed into his shoulder. "I'm sorry..." she said quietly.

"Thomas isn't what he seems to be. I need to kill him before he kills more of us. That medicine I took, that was from Thomas, and told me it was to make me feel better. But now, he has to die." Alex spoke softly into Nikka's ear as he said this. Alex moved Nikka to her room and closing the door.
