Fluctuating frees find me making my masterpieces mainly here, at home.

My insufficient ideas improve knowing that tomorrow terminates TWofR. Many marvelous, merry moments. But dwindling drawing desires dampen my devotion. A rest is required after this wacky, wild week.

So no picture for TWofR was made. Oh well. The fact that I even made this shows that I'm at least feeling a bit better!
Lots of fun was had this week. Making pictures for some of days was...a bit difficult. Some definitely required more imagination than others (I'm looking at you, limerick and alliteration days).
Nevertheless, good times. I think I got over my bit of artist's block, too. I certainly feel like drawing more!

...Not now because I should to go to bed, but possibly later!

Aaaahhhmmm back!

So, after midterms in January ended and my spring semester started, I've been taking probably one of my favorite classes this semester; Drawing!
In Drawing, everyone gets their own sketchpads to sketch out ideas for projects and such in. Our inspiration for our current project is "catalyst" or something small starting a chain reaction. Most people in my class went abstract, but not I! I actually developed a story behind my piece. I haven't finished it yet...but once I do, I'll be sure to post it here. I'm quite happy with it so far!

A simple sketch of a wooden sword (yes, related to my project). Drawing this made me realize something...I never played sword fights when I was little. Yeah, I'd whack trees or tall grass with a stick, but I never did it with other kids. Nor did I own a toy sword (other than the sticks) myself.
...Maybe someday I'll go out and buy a foam or plastic sword for myself, just to see what I was missing.

Heh, thanks guys! Actually I think the main reason the wood looks like it has a grain to it wasn't my doing but due to the texture of the paper (The other partial reasons would probably be the potato quality and possibly my subconscious' doing). Either way, it turned out surprisingly well, even to me.

btw Poison, I was wondering if you have a scanner at home because I know the school has one (but I don't like it very much) and I have one if you ever want me to scan stuff for you.

Nah, t's'all good. I'm actually trying to relearn how to use my camera, so I might as well try getting a few pictures of some of my little sketches in the meantime. If I have anything nicer drawings that I'd like scanned, I'll be sure to tell ya.

Also, yes Josiah. Potato quality. Similar in concept to the toaster mic, the potato camera allows you to take lower quality photos/videos and, in cases such as mine, can lead to some interesting side effects...such as totally unintentional wood grain. (Though seriously, I think it was the paper's texture. It's rather nice for sketches, but for final drawings it is not.)
