FanFiction: Books
I'm thinking we need a thread to recommend good fanfiction to each other, so here is the fanfiction thread for fanficitons about books.

All of a sudden I have the urge to ask my friend if she finished writing the harry potter fanfic she wrote simply to anger the fans...

Rania - Female; Type: Water, Grass; Abilities: Torrent, Overgrow; Attacks: Tackle, Curse, Razor Leaf, Bubble W/L = 5/0
Karst - Male; Type: Normal; Abilities: Keen Eye, Guts; Attacks: Tail Whip, Scratch, Defense Curl W/L = 2/0Re: FanFiction: Books
Oh, I've got one! Dumbledore's Army and the Year of Darkness. It's about Neville and the D.A.'s time in Hogwarts while Harry was off looking for the horcruxes. It really fleshes out the background characters, and is, for lack of a better word, quite awesome. Be warned, though, as it's much, much darker than the books themselves. Have a good read!

Well, I think comic books count as books, so I'm recommending The Shocker: Legit, which is a story about Spiderman villain Shocker going, well, legitimate. It's brilliantly written and definitley worth a look, even if you aren't Spiderman fans: Herman (that is, the Shocker) does a pretty good job of explaining things.
It's a pretty long read, though, so be forewarned.

Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.
